I think a lot of people would agree that yesterday was the best CB play we've seen all year. There were multiple knocked down passes, 2 INT's, and we held Eli to a pretty meh statline of 213 yards, 2 TD's and 2 INT's, when many people on here thought he was going to have a performance similar to what he did against the Saints. Factor in that we barely had a pass rush, and I'm giving some props to the guys that stepped it up in defensive backfield yesterday.Sterling Moore - Stood out the most for me. Had a few nice pass breakups and the nice INT. He also would have had a FF on OBJ if the ball had not gone out of bounds. It looked like he was giving a little bit of a cushion, similar to what we've been doing all year, but simply executed it better by not giving as much. If a Giants receiver caught a pass, he wouldn't gain much yardage afterwards, or Moore got there in time to break up the pass. I remember two plays in which he knocked the ball out of the receivers hands and got there at the perfect time. On the 3rd down on the last Giants drive, he had good coverage on OBJ but unfortunately OBJ just made a great catch and somehow didn't let the ball hit the ground. I hope and expect we see a lot of Moore on the outside for the rest of the year.Jude Adjei-Barimah - Similar to Moore, but he didn't make the splash plays. With that being said, I was pleased with how he played as a rookie UDFA and he appeared to play better than Banks, Jennings, Jenkins and even Verner on the outside have played all year. Another guy I expect to see a lot more of for the 2nd half of the season.Alteruan Verner - Seems to be getting much more comfortable in the slot and has been improving week by week. That INT undercutting the slant pattern was awesome and probably the best play a DB on this team has made this year. I expect we'll keep Verner here the rest of the year.I wouldn't mind rotating Banks in with JAB and Moore, as I believe he has a lot of potential and has shown some flashes, but with their performance yesterday, I think JAB and Moore deserve the starting spots for right now. Banks needs to earn his way back into a starting spot and I like that Lovie isn't tolerating the crap play at CB that we have seen this year. Him and Frazier have been saying how they've been looking for the right combo over the past few weeks and they might have just found it. Let's hope this lights a fire under Banks' ass and he can win the starting position back.
