Well, to DH's and Fire's point of "rent free" it is a FAIR POINT because of the timing FOR SURE, but the obvious counter is that it is a JOKE now AND that none of the Gator folks here thought Trask was "rent free" in their head when they over-the-top bashed Mayfield over and over last season INCLUDING IN THE GAME DAY THREADS.
This is just one quick example of a GATOR fan assessing THE BUCS TEAM (lol) right before the Green Bay game:
While I don't think the Packers' defense is anything to write home about, Mayfield seems to be on a downward trajectory the last couple of games. Maybe he'll bounce back this week and be just above mediocre, but I doubt it.
Most thought the Bucs probably lose that game (in part because of the defense) BUT the post is of course about Mayfield . . . the same poster said Mayfield ONLY won the job because of "experience" and the coaches lol and that Trask would have bene a 9 game winner during the season, if only he was allowed to start.
BY THE PACKER game another Gator fan, Biggs, had been calling for Trask for two months and TROLLING every thread or post on Mayfield, INCLUDING suggesting the Bucs running woes were Mayfield sending the runner the wrong way lol
So, yes one could say "rent free" to those JOKING now about Trask BUT what does that say about the objects of the joke THEN? The supposed Bucs fans who were not joking THEN, who were SERIOUSLY trolling other Bucs fans THEN, during the actual season and game day threads?
I cant speak for Badabing, but the JOKING here and now about it . . is just joking. It doesn't mean that a joking poster is obsessed with Trask lol. The opposite, actually.
Btw, what is the over/under THIS season on the BucHarbour-Biggs revenge tour? Does anyone seriously think that if/when Mayfield struggles this season they (and other gators) will not be right there posting about the way mayfield hands of the ball or how Mayfield would ve lost the camp battle but for Bowles or Mayfield's height or Mayfield missing receiver #5?
Will it be 'rent free" then?
I'm just in the camp (now) of rooting for Baker... And if Trask gets a chance I'll root for him.
Baker is the better QB. That's why he's starting.
The pick wasn't great and who knows what we could have done... I'm said my peace on that front.
There's just a ton of average/mediocre NFL talent and I believe Baker is above that group but not by a lot.
If he makes more strides this year that would be amazing.

There are infinite examples of the backup being better than the starter, especially when the backup hasn't really played.
@jc5100 there may be surprises, but I don’t think there are infinite examples of backups being demonstrably better than the expected starters.
Once the starter has been picked and paid, you can pretty much take it to the bank that the decision was based on the performance (anticipated vs actual).
My guess is that we’re all currently just hoping to see last years starter show more improvement this season. Not many are worried about Trask, unless stuff goes off the anticipated rails…
"wheelhouse"
"In going through all NFL quarterback’s best traits, Orlovsky cited Mayfield’s long ball as one of the best in the NFL. In fact Orlovsky believes Mayfield’s arm is right up there with Matt Stafford and Aaron Rodgers.
And Orlovsky was armed with evidence on BSPN to back up his stance.
Not too far behind Stafford and Rodgers is another veteran in Mayfield, who makes the list based mostly on his deep-ball skill. In 2021, he had the second-farthest completion (in air yards) of the NFL Next Gen Stats era (since 2016), airing it out 66.4 yards to Donovan Peoples-Jones. He also found Mike Evans on a go route last season on a pass that traveled 60.1 yards in the air.

Ask Dan to post Baker’s deep ball completion percentage and rankings from last year.

I can't say I'm surprised that dingleberry thinks a strong arm = accurate downfield passing. Jamarcus Russell must have been one of the best deep ball passers of all time. I bet some halfwit even said it was his "wheelhouse" at some point.
I've never seen someone so eager to confirm that they don't have a clue about what they are talking about. Completely and utterly shameless.
Take it up with Dan. It’s his former NFL QB Turned Analyst Speak. Nobody buys that bs
Next thing you know he will be talking like Trask and saying an effective running game opens up an offense.
damn crazy players and former players.

Again, I asked for his deep ball completion percentage and rankings and you give me…
…Trask.

Obviously.
The dingleberry wants you take his dumbass argument (Strong Arm = Accurate Downfield Passing) up with Orlovsky, because the dingleberry has no idea that Orlovsky isn't making his dumbass argument. Derp.

actually, Dan. Take it up with . . . Dan.
I gave Biggs Trask because hes the one who disagrees with Trask . . . even though he called for Trask to start in October of last year!
Well, Biggs will not admit that NOW, but . . .
actually, Dan. Take it up with . . . Dan
So, again, instead of providing the completion percentage and ranking from last year; you give us…
…TRASK…multiple times.
Looks like living rent free in that dome of yours is truly in Kyle’s “wheelhouse”
you give us…
Us?
I just posted the information FROM DAN.
If YOU want to counter (and Biggs wants to PIGGYBACK) with completion percentage, thats fair. Mayfield is probably top 10ish in both COMPLETED 20 and 40 yard passes? Definitely helps to have Evans :-). Basically middle of the pack air yards etc. Canales offense. . . .
But THE point . . as much as one (or TWO?) of you might want to avoid it . .was that to have the deep ball in your "wheelhouse" (Biggs said tha, right?) you have to have an arm and he's got that AND MORE.
Now, since I am conversing with "us" can you admit for Biggs that he wanted Trask to start last year in October? He will not do that himself.
:-)
I just posted the information FROM DAN.
lolz
Obviously, your dumbass didn't "just post the information FROM DAN." You added the uncited editorial from JBF as well as your own dumbass "wheelhouse" argument, but you can't help but be an intellectually dishonest sack of shit. It's who you are.
