Agent's Take: Potential Derrick Henry-to-Bucs trade illustrates salary cap gymnastics for teams eyeing deals
I sure would like to see Derrick Henry in a Bucs uniform...
I believe the Bucs already need to be looking at 2024 and beyond. Henry's salary wouldn't fit with their plans. They are due to pay a lot of players in the coming season as well as securing a high-priced QB.
I thought this was going to be a sweet mock draft....bummer
Bucs fans need to turn their attention to top EDGE rushers, QB's and iOL for the draft next Spring.
Henry makes sense for a team competing for a Super Bowl - Eagles, Dallas, Lions, etc
we’d be the Tennessee titans with Henry.
don’t get me wrong, I’d be stoked but would be a waste and no guarantee he doesn’t average 2 yards a carry behind our line
Yeah with how bad our iOL has been trading for any rb wouldn’t make sense sadly.
need to draft a rb next year no doubt.

why draft? Haven’t we don’t that many times before
our top 4 picks should be one of these positions - QB, OT, OG, DE, DL, Edge, ILB, S
and I only say QB if there’s a guy in the first round that’s worthy
I think you need QB, IOL, ILB, TE, RB, S.
I think the Bucs use their 1st rounder on a QB. If they have multiple QBs they like, then they don't have to trade up to get who they want. THere's Penix, McCarthy, Ewers, Daniels, Sanders, Nix, Ward and maybe one or two others move into the group of Day 1 or Day 2 picks. The Bucs need to sign Mayfield for two more years and draft someone who can sit on the bench for a year and learn. I think Mayfield has been a bridge QB all along, and he's done nothing to change that. But the veteran player on this team deserve better than to bust their tail only to watch a rookie QB get his schooling on the job at their expense.
As SR has stated and everyone pretty much agrees, Devin White won't be resigned, but that means you have a serious need at ILB. I don't know what you think you'll get when you draft a Day 2 LB and plug him in at starter. The Bucs have to pick up some veteran help if they let White walk.
At G, I don't know what anybody thought was going to happen when you take a guy from North Dakota St. and plug him in as a starter. I don't know who could have thought he would be an immediate success. So to give up on him would be ridiculous. But we need help on the other side and at center.
At TE, if the Bucs have a chance to get Bowers I say take him. He'd be an immediate impact player. Otherwise I'd sign a veteran free agent. They already drafted Durham and I think they forgot to check if he can catch a pass.
You can't just solve these problems by drafting rookies. You have to sign a couple veterans. Hopefully they'll have some cap room to do that.

You have OT as a top need?
Interesting...
