I see a lot of chatter about Mariota's lack of fire, and I agree and think he'd be better player if he learned to be a fiery leader at times.Yet those who tout Winston are banking on him growing and learning how to be a mature adult. So why is it that Winston is projected to be able to change and grow as an individual while Mariota will apparently remain stagnant? In reality, Mariota has already shown growth by becoming a more vocal leader, so there's no reason to believe he can't continue to grow. Winston, on the other hand, has shown some growth by staying out of trouble for a couple of months, but by some accounts (his father and Derrick Brooks) will need special treatment to help him remain on the "right" path.We should also consider the cost of both players failing to grow. In one prospect (Mariota) you're left with a cool, non fiery personality a-la Joe Flacco or Peyton Manning. In the other, you're left with a guy that is always in trouble and probably out of the league in 3-4 years.I know which one I'd rather end up with.
