First off... let me say I'm not undervaluing Sims and what he means to this team. I think he's a serviceable receiver out of the backfield. Not great... but serviceable.
As a running back? Hell. No. This dude is studder stepping before he ever gets the ball. He's slow to hit the hole, and his vision seems to be subpar as well. On the rare instance that he does hit the hole hard, he begins studder stepping trying to fake out the next man and what could have been a 7-10 yard gain turns into a 3-4 yard gain... if that (did he even have a run over 3 yards yesterday?)
Save me the "we played a great defense" rhetoric. This has been his game since getting here. He is a fine complementary back and nothing more.
Rogers came in and in 1 or 2 carries matched Sims' production for the whole day. He hits the hole with more burst, is tougher to bring down, and seems to have some nice vision. And you know what? He even seems to be just as good a receiver as Sims is.
Missing Martin hurts... although his production was trash the first few games anyways... but we can provide a spark by sitting Sims and letting Rogers get a bigger workload.
PS who did Sims think he was on that fumble? Warrick Dunn?
