You just take the best talent and try to work them into the team.If the Bucs brass wants to roll TE in the 1st round and they think Ebron or Amaro have higher upside than Evans, then I'd be fine with that. Just depends on who you think will project the best, and projecting Evans as a TE adds another level to that pick in the mock....
I think we are trying to make unnecessarily fine distinctions here. Graham's argument about being paid isn't that he's got WR numbers, it's that he's lined up outside or in the slot more than he is in-line. The reason so many teams are valued in today's NFL isn't that are a double-threat to block or catch, it's that they are a size-speed mismatch in the passing game. To me, the debate about Evans or one of the "true" TEs in the first round is all about the offense you want to run - I mean has anybody written paeans about Dallas Clark's blocking?
