We don't need any more running backs. It's an overvalued position. Your back is as good as your line. Hell, I've been in favor of trading Martin and just rolling with James, Demps, Rainey, and some other possible late round guy.

Why would James be gone? He is a rookie this year on a 4 year contract. Rainey will be a free agent, someone will give him a decent contract.

Looking at his stats the past couple years, you wouldnt have guessed he was healthy. If, for some odd reason, he was willing to get paid the vet minimum to play here...then sure. But that's about it.

Generally, you don't sign RB's to lucrative second contracts. This well be Johnson's third contract. Unless he's offering the organization a helluva bargain, no thanks.
Would not make sense. Draft a RB late if we lose Rainey. The big issue is the offensive guards. They are VERY offensive. If we get two good starting guards then it won't matter so much who is running.
