Raiders RB Doug Martin rushed six times for 24 yards in Friday's preseason game versus the Packers.
A favorite of coach Jon Gruden's throughout camp, Martin likely finishes the preseason with a total of seven carries for 25 yards and a lukewarm 3.57 YPC. He's averaged just 2.93 yards on 282 carries the past two seasons, but that hasn't stopped Oakland's coaching staff from giving him the nod ahead of Jalen Richard and preseason stud Chris Warren. Either Gruden's gone completely back to the future in his film sessions or Martin is exactly what he's recently shown to be. We'll know soon enough.
