This is McVay talking about raiding other team's playbooks (specifically the Chiefs) for new plays.
"I'd be lying if I said we have haven't stolen some of their stuff this year," McVay said Thursday. "They do a great job."
McVoy already had a dynamic and effective offense, but he's still looking for more advantages and new stuff. This is something Koetter doesn't do, isn't interested in doing, and is ultimately why he was never the right man for the job. Dirk thinks 'his offense' is fine and nothing is wrong with it. He doesn't appreciate the changing NFL and the adaption of 'college type' plays into the NFL. Has Dirk ever ran one RPO? He can't evolve and that's why it's time to move on regardless of how many yards 'his offense' generates. If you can't evolve you will die, and it's time for 'his offense' to die along with his career.
