And I'm not saying we have the greatest depth ever but it's no worse then any other team out there. Every team in the nfl has spots that aren't filled with a great backup. This isn't a 4-10 team because of lack of talent. Smdh the excuses only keep growing

Ah so now its the fact that we don't have all pro backups on our team also to cover for schianos ineptitude...lol. I guess the packers and the bears and colts seasons has all went down the drain because they have quality depth and star backups. hilarious. The one common theme these teams have is they have good coaching not **CENSORED**ty coaching that has no clue to adjust and running an offensive playbook from 1950. U guys do realize we have only lost three starters to ir this year right. Nicks Martin and Williams. But keep using that tired old argument of injuries and quality depth and whatever other bull**CENSORED** excuse for why this coaching staff sucks.

Can the depth be suspect AND coaching be sub-par at once or will you not allow this to occur?

No really I'm saying name the backup wr for the colts playing since wayne and ty Hilton went down how bout the packers qb before Matt flynn got there and Matt flynn isn't even good. All I'm saying is depth is a week ass excuse to say why this team sucks. We lost 3 starters actually 4 counting freeturd. Nicks has played sparingly the last 2 years so I don't even know if he should be counted. And it could also be argued that mike j and demps have been better then Martin then when he was playing.this season is 90 percent on coaching and it's a hell of a cop out to blame this **CENSORED**ty season on depth.

There are few that will disagree with you on the coaching critique. There are other factors that can be considered albeit to a lesser degree as "contributors" to the team's state and I wouldn't overlook the depth aspect...it's something to improve in addition to the coaching.

Yea sure can't argue with that depth can always be improved. The Coaching on the other hand needs to be retooled from top to bottom.

Okay, here is the entire coaching staff, assuming Schiano stays (which I think is likely) who should stay and who needs to be replaced:Greg Schiano Head CoachBill Sheridan Defensive CoordinatorMike Sullivan Offensive CoordinatorJimmy Raye Senior Offensive AssistantBrian Angelichio Tight Ends CoachBob Bostad Offensive Line CoachJay Butler Head Strength and Conditioning CoachEarnest Byner Running Backs CoachBryan Cox Pass Rush SpecialistBob Fraser Assistant Defensive CoordinatorPhil Galiano Assistant Special Teams CoachBob Gilmartin Assistant Strength and Conditioning CoachJeff Hafley Secondary-Safeties CoachSteve Loney Assistant Offensive Line CoachTem Lukabu Defensive AssistantKevin MacConnell Director of Football OperationsBen McDaniels Offensive AssistantRandy Melvin Defensive Line CoachJoe Vaughn Assistant Strength and Conditioning CoachDave Wannstedt Special Teams CoordinatorJohn Garrett Wide Receivers CoachJohn McNulty Quarterbacks CoachTony Oden Seconday-Cornerbacks CoachRobb Smith Linebackers CoachMy thoughts:Bill Sheridan: I vote him off the island. While the defense has played better, it still fails at critical times. I'm for either putting in Dave Wannstedt, Butch Davis or bringing someone else in that can better run/call the defense.Mike Sullivan: I really wanted to like Mike, but the offense hasn't played well at all this year. Some of that can be blamed on the players that he's had to deal with, but even with the injuries, the offense just doesn't play well enough. Off the island as well.Bob Bostad: The man looked like a genius last season, but has mostly mixed results this year. Keep him and get him some better players.Bryan Cox/Randy Melvin: I think both have done a decent job. If there were less stunts, I wonder if the line wouldn't have better numbers.John Garrett: They can't fire this guy fast enough for me.Earnest Byner: This guy is gold. If he has any ability to call plays, I would love to see him run a offense. He sure can get the most out of his running backs.Brian Angelichio: You have to like what he's done with Wright. John McNulty: Not sure about McNulty. I think he's probably the next OC, but I don't think he's done that well with Glennon. But then again, we don't really know how good or bad he is.Robb Smith: Seems to be doing a pretty good job with the linebackers.Tony Oden: Mixed results here, but then again, not sure how responsible he is for some of the secondary failings. The secondary has improved though, but not sure if it's because of him or Revis.Bob Fraser: Have no idea what this guy does - maybe it's his job to tell Sheridan how to run the Rutgers defense?Dave Wannstedt: Overall, he's added some life to the special teams, I'd still rather that he coached the defense though.

Schiano stays but replaces his two coordinators?  This is akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic(that will never get old).

This thread is a good illustration of the major problem with fan input. The majority would vote for the current staff to be gone without knowing who the intended replacement is, and therefore don't even have a clear understanding what it is that they are voting for.

Ah so now its the fact that we don't have all pro backups on our team also to cover for schianos ineptitude...

How do you get that ^^^^^^ from this:

Is this team really loaded with talent and depth?  Take out the Schiano players (Wright and Underwood, as examples) and maybe even one or two of the recent draft picks . .  and then ask again . . .is this team really loaded with talent and depth? If your answer is "no," is that really the second year coach's fault? Schiano may not be a NFL coach, but he's not responsible  . ..  in his 2nd year . . .for the roster

The depth component to this argument we agree on and sits with the GM as his philosophy has been to acquire top tier talent through FA and trade at specific positions. Unfortunately, depth has suffered as a result...Remember this past offseason for example, the Bucs went all-in on Revis when they could've signed at least 2 CBs to lower dollar figures (by previous FA numbers). This is an example of that ideology in action...Vincent Jackson signing has worked out well but otherwise it hasn't been very fruitful.

seriously? I put the key parts in bold

Translated from internet tough guy to modern English: I think I'm more cultured and logical than everyone else, but they don't think so. Maybe if I keep being condescending people will like me.

Huh? Lots of unknowns with Schiano or a new coach. The first step is realizing that there is or is not an issue. We as fans don't need to have a coach and staff lined up to point out that it may not be good enough.
