So, I have started to prep my mind that Coen won’t be back to run this offense next year. The front office is too attached to Bowles . No way they fire Bowles and hire Coen because they are afraid of backlash from the media or just like mediocrity seasons. We all know Coen has been carrying this team - every game hasn’t been perfect. But, nevertheless Coen is commanding one of the best Tampa offenses I’ve seen . My question is once Coen goes to another team to be a head coach. “Which we all should be preparing for” .God willing it is not the Saints . Can Todd Bowles find another OC that can carry him again in 2025? Eventually his luck will run out annd he will pick a bad OC or players will either get tired of learning a new offense every offense .  Like I said the front office is too attached blind to see the possible future  . Great win yesterday !!

Coen will be back next year.

They’ve already been working on it.

I haven't been on this site to keep up with the reports, so news to me. I'm glad to hear that they are being proactive about his contract.

It’s been eluded to on here by SR, as well as other reputable sources on X.

Glazers won’t let him out the door, even if it means offering him the HC gig.

Coen will be back, and if yesterday is an indication of how we close out this season, Bowles likely will be as well.

I’ve alluded to this before, but due to the needless hand-wringing I thought I’d introduce it back into the conversation; we have no worries. smart, wealthy owners don’t make mistakes they’ve made before.

needless hand-wringing

sort of a specialty here.

Who can forget "they are going to sign Mayfield to a contract that makes us lose our other FAs?"

Good deal. Its a no brainer decision, Bowles is replaceable.

He’s absolutely replaceable. A sub-500 record as HC over 8-years. Horrible game and clock management. Zero situational game awareness.

Coen’s absolutely bailed out Bowles and his ineptitude this season.

If it comes down to having to pick between the two of them, the Glazers are going to take Liam.

Peter Schrager, every week on GMFB, gives out his Coach of the Week Award.

Today, he gives it to Liam Coen.

Going to now be a household name outside of TB.

He’ll get multiple HC offers this offseason.

Tampa Bay currently has the #3 overall offense and #4 scoring offense, including the #5 passing offense and t4th rushing offense.

Incredible job by Coen and his staff, as they are over-performing their talent level. It's the exact opposite of the 2022 Byron Leftwich-led unit.

And, he’s done it with numerous key players out with injuries throughout the season.

Dude is elite.

One possible scenario is to:

2025- bring back Bowles and Coen, make Coen Asst Head Coach/OC, essentially HC in waiting.

2026- move Bowles to FO as Defensive Consultant, and move Coen to HC.

Saves some face for Bowles and keeps Coen in Tampa for minimum 4-6 years.

@bucsbits I haven’t heard of any contract negotiations for him . Him getting money to be a head coach somewhere else is going to be hard to beat financially. Some are saying he will stay so that is good. There are teams out there that will be looking for a young offensive minded head coach . I thought he would be on top of the list. My mind was set for him to exit .

Some say he's still calling the HB dive on first down with the high school team he's coaching
