Baker is a top 8 QB this year. It isn't debatable.

Mahomes is somewhere between 8-14 this year but obviously we'd all take him if given the choice of one QB in a playoff game... Because he's clutch and he gets every single possible call.

He's 19th in ESPN QBR. Mahomes is 11th.

Kyler Murray has a higher QBR than Hurts, Goff, and Mahomes.

Who you would take vs who is having a better year are two different debates.

Everybody here would take Herbert over Mayfield but objectively Mayfield is playing better (despite the massive turnover difference and playing calling style).

Baker is a top 15 QB in terms of building a team around but he's playing top 8 this year.

Mahomes is 1 of 1 but he's objectively getting carried by his defense. They haven't scored 30.

Sheesh. My comment about Brady clearly rattled the drunk and dumb.

Love ya, buddy. But, Mahomes isn’t the GOAT. The actual 🐐 blessed us with a few years of absolutely ELITE play at the position and a Lombardi his first year here.

Now, obviously we’d take Mahomes (as would nearly every NFL franchise) though his play over the last 2 seasons hasn’t been really good.

As far as Baker is concerned, I’d say he’s playing like a Top-5/6 QB this year…without question. Good stuff.

Some offensive systems align better with the QB’s talents - ours does - so does Kyler’s.

Mahomes can play in almost any system (the bad ones are the ones with poor offensive lines, poor receivers/running backs, or the OC is a poor play caller).

Fortunately, ours is FIYA 🔥 . My only concern is that Liam is untested as a HC. There is no doubt he is an unbelievable coach and may just be a great HC.

The organization has done all they could to build a LOT of support around the HC.

Just don’t know how you would go about the transition to a new HC that finished strong down the stretch after another come-from-behind season - unless Bowles is on-board with it?

Having a defensive let-down in any one of the final 3 games would open the door for that, but finishing well makes it tough. I don’t think they will let Coen walk. But there are ways you can make a respectful transition - but Coen would have to want to make it, he will no doubt have options.

Cool, Kyler Murray is 4 and Winston is ranked above Baker. Nobody gives a fuck about these voodoo rankings.

Brady is the GOAT, agreed. I should have clarified that Mahomes is the active player GOAT.

And that's exactly my point. Mahomes hasn't played well the last 2 seasons, especially by his standard.

But Brady had years like that too so...

They’re defense is the elite side of the ball this year. Mahomes is elite, but like Brady, he’s almost willing the offense up the field this season.

All is forgiven. Lol.

And, me saying Brady playing in this offense would result in records being absolutely broken, is not a shot at Baker.

I just don't see it that way. I think Mahomes has flashes of brilliance but many of his picks were as bad or worse than Baker. He's missed some easy ones. He has the best offensive play caller in the game or at least top 5.

If he misses time the Chiefs will barely miss a beat with Wentz.

Mahomes also has had an insane amount of interceptions taken away via penalty the last 2 years.

So idk... I feel like he's getting a free pass because of the winning.

Brady actually started out a little more like Mahomes this year, meaning the Patriots were a bit more of a defensive team.  He certainly let it rip through the years though.

will be interesting to watch Mahomes going forward

Offensive lines and WRs matter when judging QBs. Sorry to break it to the Baker bros. It's all fun and games till he has one of these turnover runs in the playoffs.

Re-read your first line, then you too can become a Baker bro. There’s room on the bus, right here next to me.

Name another Buc QB, other than Brady, with Baker’s stat line over the last two years…

A well-matched OC & QB can bring out the best in each - a run game that can dominate makes both great (but you have to have both). Coen’s ability to shift from an offense that can utilize 2 elite receivers, lose them both, then shift to utilizing the ponies has been phenomenal…but we HAD the o-line and the ponies to make that work.

We’re built well, have a great OC, and the offensive talent is up to the task of executing…absolutely fun to watch it play out - we have ANSWERS that even help a struggling defense play to their limited strengths.

White Tiger is feeling 😃

Baker posted a 135.3 Passer Rating yesterday, along with a 94.7 QBR.  Just his 7th game posting a PR over 100.0, and 7th of the season posting a PR over 90.  He has three games posting a PR over 120. And his 6th game with a QBR over 60.

Just for the sake of comparison, Mahomes has only 6 games with a PR over 90, and only one over 120.  Mahomes has posted 10 games with a QBR over 60.

Baker is playing way better than Mahomes this year.

But Mahomes is the GOAT.

BWAHAHAHA!!!!!

40+ year old Brady would have 5,000+ and 50+ TD’s in this offense.

Lol, sure he would.

At 44 years old, he threw for over 5300 yards and 43 TD’s in a more archaic offensive scheme.

But, go on…

Part of that scheme was of his own making.

However, if you're saying in a bubble, in a hypothetical universe where Godwin and Evens didn't get hurt, and Goedeke/Wirfs weren't sidelined for several weeks, okay, sure Tom would be able to hit career numbers in this offense.

I was thinking about this season, having to deal with the injuries, the poor defensive performances for over two months, etc.  Because one of the things Tom would've had to do is scramble/run, which he couldn't do.  So many of those scoring drives just never happen.  Some of those tight window throws never happen.

But we were talking about two different scenarios, so whatever.

You're not wrong on the scrambling, but I don't think Brady would have had any issues on tight window throws.

The flip side of that argument is Brady wouldn't have to scramble as much as Mayfield because Brady plays the game faster in his head, meaning he would have the ball out to the open receivers we're seeing before scrambling was necessary.
