We're so fucked.
To keep fucking Bowles.
I just can't...
not sure about that because Kacy is sort of Bowles Part II and coaches a great unit.
mine they are just letting him test the market but maybe he also knows Bowles is out
What's hard to understand is that yes, there are only 32 HC jobs in the NFL, but why do some of these young up-and-comers put themselves into such bad situations?
Money and scarcity of the job.
The other bit to that is it's valuable learning situation...If they succeed in their first stop as HC then they shine even brighter, but if they fail they know they can go back to a coordinator position for a few years restore their image and try again in a few years with the knowledge they gained their first go around....plus with buyouts etc now they're almost guaranteed a golden parachute of sorts if they're fired before their contract expires
Not sure if everyone caught this yesterday but JBF brings it up
"Yesterday, [the Times] published a story headlined, “Bucs Preparing For Liam Coen To Be Offered Jaguars Job.” (POSTED HERE)
Later in the day, however, that headline mysteriously changed to, “Bucs’ Liam Coen Emerging As Strongest Candidate For Jaguars Job.”
Also deleted from the article was a strong statement by reporter Rick Stroud. “The Bucs are bracing for Coen to be offered the Jaguars head coaching job, possibly as early as Wednesday when he interviews for the second time with the club,” he wrote before it vanished."
someone said something to the Times
That and the Kacy Rodgers interview make me wonder about a HC switch
BOOOOOOOOMMM!
"Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is taking himself out of the running for the Jaguars’ head coaching job to stay in Tampa on a new contract that now will place him amongst the highest-paid coordinators in the NFL, per sources. Bucs are keeping their OC.

No switch
Probably Coen's agent telling the Times to put the brakes on, if ADAM SCHEFLER's reporting is correct (hopefully)

The Jags are a crap franchise going nowhere. The Bucs are just a few players away from being a serious contender for NFC supremacy. I agree with those here who have said Coen should go the Johnson route and stay for another year or two. His stock will continue to rise, and the opportunity to achieve something special with the Bucs is way better than with the Jags. Just my $0.02 for what its worth.
apparently its worth a lot
you were spot on
