Just oneway to look at it
Btw, watch the Jags now swoop back in and take him away!
Kidding and obviously hope not, but that would be ironic
uh oh . .
"“The Jags obviously made a run back at [Coen],” Frangie said. “I think that’s probably widely known in the football world,” Frangie said. “What happened from that point forward, I don’t know. What I do know is at 4:22 p.m. on Thursday, there’s still no announcement [from the Bucs] that Coen has signed [a new contract with Tampa Bay]. …
“I will tell you, [Coen] is torn. I can tell you there’s a lot of things at play here.”
Plot twist: #Bucs OC Liam Coen has been speaking with the #Jaguars in person for their HC job, and he is a key candidate to be the coach in Jacksonville, per me and
. Days after agreeing to a massive extension in Tampa, he may find a HC job he could not refuse.
Schefter - A reverse: Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is in Jacksonville, meeting with the Jaguars one day after agreeing to stay in Tampa on a deal that would have made him the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator.
Coen
must be gone and it’s just not reported yet because Schefter just tweeted that he ghosted the team all day.
If true hard to imagine doing that and keeping the job
Should have fired Bowles and given Coen the job. I'm done caring about this franchise.

there was a lot of reporting about no “head coach in waiting” so they had the chance and I guess still do because Bowles staff is leaving so maybe Bowles too

yeah because that would have went over like a lead balloon with the lockerroom. Also could see other coaches in the futures feeling really good about taking a job with our franchise.
head coach goes 3 for 3 with 3 division titles, team supposed to suck after Brady, and for whatever reason, even though offense carried them, team is performing at a high level. It's not like he took over a perennial playoff team like the Chiefs, Eagles, or Ravens. The Bucs have sucked outside of like 5 years pre Brady in their entire existence. let's not get crazy by promoting some 39 year old rookie coordinator because he had a great year at calling plays.

exactly.
In the other thread I sort of trie to lay this out because Jeff Darlington kind of laid it out, the cultural differences between the teams
