Well, my thinking there is that if you want Coen to be the heir apparent why would you hire an offensive coach? You would want Coen to be making the decisions on offense as much as possible. OK. We're not on the same page so let me review here for those with challenges. Sure the Bucs might just hire Coen, but IF the Bucs hire another coach and keep Coen as heir apparent then they would want a defensive head coach and give Coen autonomy over the offense.
