Want a first round pick for him

making roughly $4.3 mil this year.

interested?

I don’t think anyone will give a first for him.

mccaffrey went for 4 picks including a 2nd.

The problem is his contract is up at the end of the year.  After that you have to pay him, because he's already unhappy.  Think about if you franchise tag him.  Good luck with that.  If you trade for him, you have to sign him to a long-term contract.   Well, the Colts need him as much as anybody and they won't do it.  Nobody wants to sign veteran running backs to a long-term deal, and Licht is no fool. He's not going to do it either.

No. Even after Bucs cut Ryan Jensen and Gage for cap space, we need to lock up Winfield, Wirfs, and Evans up.

Let White prove his worth

i mean why does he want to be traded?  i assume he wants to get paid

our offensive line is pretty weak so while he would be an improvement over what we currently have, i don't think it changes the dynamic - particularly when he "gets paid"; how will he perform?  still hungry?

he missed 6 games last year and his yards per carry were down from 5.5 to 4.5 along with touchdown output from 18 to 4.

of course we would want him but to others points - need to lock up Winfield, Wirfs.  Evans, White contracts are up next year.

it doesnt seem teams are focused on paying running backs so dont think we are in a position to dedicate our cap space to it considering the many holes we have.  Let's see what we have in White.
