Brotles declared??...
You mad, Brotles?
YESSSSSSSS TAMPA!!!! MAKE THE MOVE!!!! #HEILMANZIEL
I can't deny the kid has great athleticism and is fearless, but I just worry about him being able to translate that to becoming a successful NFL quarterback.
No worries about Clowney getting paid and shutting it down?
I think you quoted me by mistake, but I'm not a fan of Clowney at all. I live in Columbia, SC and have heard stories about how immature and reckless he is. I think he's going to bust big time.
I live in Sumter and I've heard the same thing, To me he is/was a one dynamic play.....multiple "loaf" plays....type of player. Not sure he will ever be really motivated to the level needed in the NFL.
"Ask yourself this question: Would you rather go after a player like Johnny Manziel and him never live up to expectations or settle on a “safe” pick who becomes an average player and watch Johnny Manziel become a franchise quarterback for another franchise."Where's the 'take a good player who contributes to our team while Manziel bombs out somewhere else' option?
Exactly....that is as likely to happen as the other option.
I personally don't see the Watkins love. At least Watkins has the frame to be a starter unlike Harvin.
are you blind ?? What's not to like about Watkins ?
I think I've reconciled in my mind that if Johnny falls to 7 I want the Bucs to take him. As a football player, I think he's magic. He would make an immediate impact on this offense....if his head is on straight. And that is the question, isn't it?Look, if I was rich, a star quarterback and had my pick of co-eds I'd party my brains out, too - as long as it didn't effect my play on the football field who gives a flip? But the NFL is a different animal. The college years are over, now you move on to your professional career. I'd hope Johnny is smart enough to know that he can't continue that life-style into the NFL and hope to succeed.
I think we have lots of option at 7, of course not as many as if our SOS led us to pick #3 like the 4-12 Jags.I'd be very happy with any of Manziel, Clowney, or Watkins at #7. Even though I don't get excited about O-Lineman, I think Matthews at #7 would be a very good pick as well long term but would not have the immediate impact of the other picks

He has dreads so I associate that with being a punk?
Cool story, Brotles.
Question for those who want Manziel and any other QB in the top 7. If Mike Glennon was taken off the Bucs roster and put in the draft class, what pick is he?

He was the third QB taken in last years horrific QB class. This year he'd be competing for the 5th best spot with the likes of Brett Smith and Jimmy Garoppolo. So 5/6 at best in this years class.

That's not the question. I'm not concerned with where he went last year. I'm saying with what the league knows about Glennon right now, where would he go in the 2014 draft. The answer is probably around 7, maybe higher.
Well ask yourself this - who would give up a first rounder for Glennon? Anybody?
Yeah. Fifth to seventh round sounds about right.
