Vikings cashed in getting a 3rd for Cousins.
We have no comp picks despite losing our OC to head coach b2b years. I believe the rule to get a comp pick for an OC leaving is having him for 2 years.
This whole system is silly to me...
We lost a starting DB, Tavierre Thomas.
what king of comp pick do we get?
Comp means compensation for losing players, but Licht is getting all the praise for resigning our players. What are we supposed to be compensated for?
Comp picks work for some teams to control cap costs. But Licht and Greenberg do such a good job that they do not really worry about salary off sets to gain comp picks the following off season.

You get one for losing front office staff and minority coordinators

Experience and continuity. Besides oc we've been pretty consistent with who we have on our roster and familiar with how to use them for the most part. Its just filling in the gaps where we can get better at more consistently. Coaching, correct move, and/or better play from individuals. However I think one reason we've been able to be pretty good over past while is lichts ability to keep the good players here for the long haul.
