Every year, I try my best to predict how the off-season will go, just based on rumours and piecing things together. Anyways, hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment below. As always, any questions about rumours, and likeliness of "things" just ask me through PR or twitter (@louisptack)Starting Salary Cap: 7,570,293$ (Salary Cap = 126.3 Million)FREE AGENCYRELEASES:RG, Davin Joseph: ---> Save 6,000,000$: This was a tough decision to make. Davin has done many great thing for the Bucs on/off the field and I would like to personally thank him for that, even though I don't live in Tampa myself. He was the rock of our O-Line for the past 5 years but unfortunately he is in fact aging and his play is slowly but surely becoming unacceptable for someone of his salary. DT, Derek Landri: ---> Save 1,500,000$: These are the types of players that don't survive coaching changes, Landri really hasn't done much in a Bucs uniform and the only reason he even sniffed the field in 2013 was because of Greg Schiano who has nothing to do with the organization, anymore, neither will Landri.RT, Gabe Carimi: ---> Save 1,337,187$: Our O-Line is going under a major reconstruction in 2014. Not so much the starting lineup but all of the depth will be replaced for cheaper. Lovie is familiar with Carimi but it didn't work out then either. Really a waste of a 6th Round Draft Pick. Not one of Mark Dominik's best moments.TE, Tom Crabtree: ---> Save 825,000$: This isn't going to save us much but money is money, and this money will be used elsewhere in 2014. Crabtree may be a solid contributor when healthy but he never was and could be replaced quite easily. There is a lot Lovie wants to do with this roster and he is going to need the money to accomplish that. Everything helps.TE, Luke Stocker: ---> Save 645,000$: Some of Stocker's contract is guaranteed but I think we all know where his career was headed, yet another mistake by our past GM.RB, Michael Smith: ---> Save 553,713$: We have so much RB depth, this money could be used for another backup RB.*Rest Of Cuts are not Notable, will just list, with savings*-Danny Lansanah, 570,000$-Kelcie McCray, 570,000$-Scott Colomon, 570,000$-Skye Dawson, 495,000$-Ka'lial Glaud, 495,000$-Michael Hill, 495,000$Salary Cap After Cuts: 21,626,193$RE-STRUCTURINGS:G, Carl Nicks: ---> Save 2,286,000$: Basically, we are just saving all the money that isn't guaranteed, I see this happening whether he is released or not. Might as well just cross our fingers he can play again, if not just take away all the money that isn't guaranteed.P, Mike Koenen: ---> Save 2,000,000$: Really an average punter getting paid way too much. We shave 2 Mill of his contract and hope he plays better in 2014.LT, Donald Penn: ---> Save 500,000$: We all know Penn's play is slipping but not nearly as much as the exiled Davin Joseph. We shave half a mill of his salary just to give us a little more breathing room and is acceptable from Penn's side as well.K, Connor Barth ---> Save 750,000$: Connor Barth is a great kicker but again, he shouldn't be paid 2 million dollars, especially when our new regime will need money like this to make some signings.Salary Cap Going Into FA: 27,162,193$EXTENSIONSDT, Gerald Mccoy - 6 Years, 72,000,000$ (12,000,000/ Year) : This will have no effect on our 2014 Cap as this contract will go into effect next season, much like Mike Williams' contract extension last season. G-Mac will actually be taking a pay cut because of his massive rookie deal but make no mistake he is still making a hefty amount of money, and a top contract for a DT.RE-SIGNINGSRB, Bobby Rainey - 1 Year, 520,000$: Gets the standard ERFA deal from Tampa, he will likely command a larger contract in 2015, however.LS, Andrew Economos - 2 Years, 1,200,000$ (600,000$): Economos has always gotten the job done, no need for a replacement. I'm sure we would all take 600,000$ to snap a football....LB, Dekoda Watson - 4 Years, 7,500,000$ (1,875,000$): Watson is our special teams ace and blocks the most punts on our team. He is someone that is worth keeping especially when we get to sign him before he gets too expensive. If he becomes a starter there will be a clause where he would make another 2.5 Million$/Year if he starts more then 10 games in a season.LB, Johnathan Cassilas - 2 Years, 2,600,000$ (1,300,000$): He plays more than Watson but does't play ST or possess the same potential. Re-signing him is a good thing as he is a solid LB.LB, Adam Hayward - 2 Years, 1,800,000$ (900,000$): Hayward is a vital part of the locker room and this will be entirely his choice if he wants to take a pay cut. He could probably get a little more money elsewhere but may want to stay in Tampa for personal reasons.Salary Cap Going Into Other Teams FA: 21,967,193$DE, Jared Allen - 3 Years, 17,000,000$ (5,666,667$): Jared Allen joins his former HC in Tampa where he buys the Bucs some time to find a young DE. This is a little cheap for Allen but he is old. This could vary from 5-7 Mill a year so this isn't that farfetched.C, Alex Mack - 5 Years, 35,000,000$ (7,000,000$): Another big FA signing in Tampa. Mack gets "mocked" to just about every team with a decent amount of cap space but none have the connections Tampa does. He has played with OC Tedford at Cal, I hear he and Tedford have a great relationship and our OL Coach is coming straight from Cleveland's staff. Mack is good friends with him as well.CB, Charles Tillman - 3 Years, 12,000,000$ (4,000,000$): Bucs land the Nickel CB, our DC Frazier has talked about. He will be a great addition to an already stacked Bucs secondary.WR, Devin Hester - 2 Years, 4,000,000$ (2,000,000$): Another deal for the Bucs as we land the best KR in NFL history but unfortunately that is the only thing he can provide to this team and Lovie has spoken about having a great special teams. (Based on my calculations, this really is all we have enough cap for, but look for some clever contract structuring to let us sign either Geoff Schwartz or Jon Asamoah)DRAFTRound 1: WR, Sammy Watkins - Clemson ---> We finally have a speed component to this offence Jeff Tedford was talking about. He is someone you can simply drop the ball off to and have him go the distance. Really a young exciting WR who may be the next big thing in the NFL. Look for a mix of Julio Jones and Cordarelle Patterson.Round 2: TE, Austin Sefarians-Jenkins - Washington ---> After addressing the O-Line and Defence in FA now is the time to build an offence that can go above and beyond any team in the NFC. We will have a Jimmy Graham type player on our side and the reliable Tim Wright as well. If Mike Glennon develops like I expect, watch out for this offence.Round 4: DT, Daniel McCullers - Tennessee ---> In case Akeem Spence isn't too well liked by Lovie Smith we have some good quality depth at the DT position.Round 5: OG, Brandon Thomas - Clemson ---> I, actually gave Thomas a 2-3 Round Grade so this would be a steal in my opinion. If we go elsewhere in FA, expect this pick to be made.Round 7: OG, Spencer Long - Nebraska ---> Another steal at the end of the draft. Long got injured this season but could very well be a starter in the NFL. This really is a good depth pick but don't be surprised if this pick never happens.

Quite good actually. You could use this as your resume when you apply for the Buc's GM position...  ;D

However, I am really starting to think that Watkins will be gone by the time we pick.

Not entirely thrilled with going into next season with Glennon as our quarterback, however this would patch up nearly every hole. If all this happened it isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility for Glennon to succeed with this team around him.

Thank you. Answering your question, February 3rd is when the waivers system starts up again and February 17th is when you can franchise players, so accordingly, sometime in that range for sure.

However, I am really starting to think that Watkins will be gone by the time we pick.

The only place he could end up is Oakland, and from what I'm hearing they really like Derek Carr, which in retrospect would make Watkins and Khalil Mack the 2 players in top consideration and I really don't see where Mack would fit in Lovie's scheme so Watkins really is a strong possibility barring a trade down.

One person I didn't include in this "Preview" is Josh Mccown. He is someone who can come in "just in case" much like he did with Jay Cutler last season.

I wouldn't be opposed to that. Also, does anybody know where Dri Archer is supposed to be drafted? Instead of spending a couple million on a 31 year old Hester, I think this kid could be a deadly returner who could also be occasionally worked into the offense as well.

This would be an incredible off-season. I don't think highly of Glennon but there should be zero excuses if he can't put up good #'s with that type of talent around him.

Brilliant, I would change your first round pick with Johnny Manziel, and we're ready to go. Although, I'd prefer different prospects in the 4th,5th, rounds.

I've been all for Glennon having another shot with a different coaching staff. But if he does indeed bomb, his replacement would have some excellent weapons to work with if we were able to add Watkins and Sefarians-Jenkins.
