We need to find a way to get one of these guys. It comes down to either one of them with our first pick IMO.
The Bucs still have a good amount of weaknesses. And the thing I want the most in every draft and in FA... is pass rush. But it's time to address the severe lack of speed on offense. We've had zero gamebreakers since Joey freakin Galloway and maybe Antonio Bryant. But it's been horrendous with the lack of playmakers the last 10 years. Simply atrocious. I'm tired of this offense lumbering down the field only to be derailed by drops or penalties. We need to put an offense together that can score quickly, we need guys that can actually out run people.
The defense is further along than the offense so I hope we go Davis or Cook with our first pick, then DE in round 2, then DT in the 3rd. I don't want to hear about safeties or CB's in round 2 or 3. We are still not as strong as we should be in the trenches on D, you build front to back. We have durable and serviceable players like VH3, Grimes, Tandy, McDougald, Adjei-Barimah, & Elliot. Those guys can do the job for another year if we finally stack up on pass rushers. We also have Ryan Smith who has potential and possibly Josh Robinson again. That DB group has a very good chance to do well with an improved pass rush.
