Pretty sure he wasn't man. If you recall, there was a lot of back and forth about who would be taken #1. Most assumed Luck, but it was far from a foregone conclusion. If you read his evaluation of both, its still fairly accurate. RG3 has the stronger arm and better legs. Luck is very good at throwing anticipation routes up to about 20 yards. Now, I would rather have Luck on my team, but RG3 did take a much worse team to the playoffs his first season.
Cosell's argument is intellectually bankrupt for many reasons. But to address "this QB draft class isn't so good" balogne...last year's QB draft class was worse...and this years will feature a lot more QB's going early....derp.Cosell becoming a self proclaimed expert based on nothing of substance is laughable. Kiper and Mayock at least had some cred when they started off but Cosell is a chump.

And this draft features top flight OT's, a top flight DE, and other blue chip talent and yet there are projections of three QB's being drafted in the top 15. I take back what I said about Cosell being a chump....he is a simp.

But Cosell saw "no physicality" out of Brown, and prefers Nebraska's Lavonte David as a 4-3 outside linebacker prospect. I don't think Cosell is gospel, but his take on Luck v. RG3 was significantly more nuanced than the parodies of it in this thread.
He is right on Barron. As you will see in a REAL system this season.

Cosel said Justin Hunter was the best WR in the 2011 draft and compared him to Randy Moss. He also said Ryan Kerrigan was an overrated "try hard" player that didn't belong in the 1st round. Cam Newton wasn't a top 20 prospect. He also had RG3 ranked higher than Andrew Luck.....lol. Brilliant.
