I'd love to see a QB analyst who has a BETTER track record than Cosell. LOL; if there were one who got it right ALL the time, he wouldn't remain an Analyst for long... ;D

Nope they'd be a GM somewhere if they were that good.

YEP!
Yeah , I mean not all analysts can have Tyler Wilson's name on their resume like the great Jdud . LMAO
Cosell may be right there's not an exceptional QB worth picking at the very top, but there are way too many unknowns to say all the QBs are worth avoiding. History shows any QB in any class picked in the top 45 has the chance to be a playoff caliber QB. Also with Cosell, it's clear he really skews his analysis toward technical pocket passers. He's been wrong on just about every good dual threat QB.

I was fairly big on Wilson as a good mid round prospect. Not sure exactly what his deal is, but he looked much better (to me) than Ryan Mallett coming out.

Oh, I don't know. It's like when people say that if Kiper were actually worth anything, he'd be working for a team. I think there's a lot to be said for the comfort, security and visibility of a media job.

Ryan Nassib was Cosell's #1 QB last year and Tyler Wilson was his #2.

I think a lot of pundits put too much stock in Buffalo needing a QB and Nassib's college coaching being their new HC. A lot of people had Buffalo taking Nassib. What I get from Cosell is a break down of strengths and weaknesses when it comes to mechanics and ability. Obviously that doesn't always translate to success...i.e. Brandon Weedon could very well be the best pocket passer of 2012 draft, he just happened to go to a team who provides no pocket.
Brandon Weeden is poop. A 30 year old piece of poop. Can't believe anyone, even the Browns, were so stupid.
And then you have former great personnel man and current analyst, Gil Brandt, with Johnny Manziel as his number one player overall. The draft is crazy fellas.
He also has stated that Garoppolo may have a better arm than Eastern Illinois has shown.I only put stock in two sources on QB's. Cosell and http://collegefootballmetrics.com/index.htm for their statistical work.FWIW - I like Bridgewater, but GC is right, he's not going to great at anything, but good at everything.
Finally a voice of reason on this topic. Cosell knows what he talking about. As a franchise, it's clear we need to steer away from a QB in this draft. There is a ton more value on the Defensive side of the ball, OLine and WR.
he said the top pick, not the 7th.
Bortles:The blue indicates his mechanics and where they should lead the ball. The red indicates where the ball actually goes. Incomplete pass.
