Patriots Interested in Greg Schiano?By Ernie Padaon - Feb 21st, 2014 at 11:50 am Dec 29, 2013; New Orleans, LA Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano against the New Orleans Saints during the first half of a game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY SportsThe latest rumors out of the NFL Combine is the relationship that is building with Greg Schiano and the New England Patriots. During the NFL Combines, different coaches and agents and general managers get a chance to talk since everyone is gathered at one location. There has been a little bit of buzz about Bill Belichick and Schiano hanging out Thursday night in Indianapolis. Schiano currently is looking for his next shot in the NFL and he could land a job as part of the Patriots coaching staff. Belichick has always endorsed Schiano as a head coach. He recommended Schiano as a candidate for the Browns head coaching vacancy. Schiano has a defensive background and could join the Patriots staff in some sort of capacity in helping the defense. Schiano was a defensive coordinator for the Miami Hurricanes before he became the head coach at Rutgers. Could we see Schiano back in the NFL on the Patriots sideline? http://nflspinzone.com/2014/02/21/patriots-interested-greg-schiano/
Why would anyone let BB's babysitter coach their team?Hell, if I'm a defensive player on the pats roster, I'm running up to BB and asking, "do I have to work on my stunts?"
Rutgers could be fine as a position coach. I'm sure he knows that stuff and when he is at that level being a toes on the line tool will work for him.
If he's following bb's rules/formula.. I guess you could say that about anyone really.
Schiano can suck a...lemon. I think he is the one of the worst coaches in the league.hes a dirtbag.
That's right, he rigged the captain's vote, didn't he Boid?
I think it would say a lot about Schiano if he were to take a much lesser position with an NFL team rather than go be a head coach in college again next year. Most coaches egos wouldn't let them do that, but it would be the smartest move if he ever wants to coach in the NFL again.

He "rigged" the team to four wins, that's for sure.

i agree with this. his best bet, IF he wants to be a HC in the nfl, would be to take an assistant position and rise up the ranks to defensive coordinator and potentially to hc.
Trust belief accountability

It worked out pretty well for Pete Carroll.

that makes him a bad coach, not a dirtbag

I heard Raheem was looking for an assistant DB coach in Washington.
