The Falcons could win out so we can't afford to lose any games.  I think the following game against the Panthers is the trap game.  The Falcons don't play the Commandos until Sunday night. So, the Bucs might have it in the back of their minds that the Falcons will lose anyway, and they can stay ahead of them.  But the Commandos only beat the lowly Saints by one point.  I think we could be a little overconfident, because the Falcons could easily turn the tables on us if we slip up even once in these last three games.

The NFL has a funny way of rewriting the script, and with three games to go there will be plenty of editing going on.

As for Tucker, he has a 6.3 ypc with a 52.5% success rate. If he had enough carries to qualify he would be 1st in ypc and 9th in success rate for RBs.

And, with the additional carries he received last week, those numbers have come down since the last ones you posted.

Again, no context.

Good point. Can't believe he had a low ypc vs the Chargers just running up the middle vs loaded fronts in garbage time, sometimes with the backup line in. Meanwhile White ran like complete shit in normal game scenarios while Bucky was going crazy.

Did the Chargers have any backup defenders in during this garbage time to tackle Jim Brown, or was it just the Buccaneers?

Were there any backup offensive linemen in the game during the New Orleans garbage time when Tucker racked up his stats?

I love excuses.

Oh, so now you’re a fan of context.

Imagine that.

Because everyone knows Coen isn't running the ball enough and Baker is being careless with the ball in advantageous downs but I'm the only one who thinks it will come back to bite us

You think if you keep raising the issue now, in the ambiguous way you do ("isn't running the ball enough") it will keep you relevant for a while. :-)

I think most think the Bucs should focus on running the ball (the second half of Charger game makes that point).

The difference between you and "most" ion this issue s that you are/were saying that "Emmitt Smith" (tucker) is the key to winning. Thats IS/WAS your point. Tucker is being "iced" and that will cause us to lose because he is Emmitt Smith.

Now, after he got on the field and didn't do much is game where we won with heavy running against a quality opponent, NOW . . . its . . err . .  about Coen . .

I keep bringing up the issue because it already cost us a game and we got incredibly lucky vs the Panthers. We should have run for 300 yards that game instead we needed a call on the Thielen TD and missed FGs just to get it to overtime. Then in overtime needed a fumble recovery, all because Coen wouldn't run the ball. We were in a close game with the Raiders, again because he wouldn't run the ball. If we lose one of these next 3 games the main reason will be because he didn't run the ball enough.

As for Tucker, he has a 6.3 ypc with a 52.5% success rate. If he had enough carries to qualify he would be 1st in ypc and 9th in success rate for RBs. White being below league average in ypc behind this line is pathetic.

JC, when someone pokes fun at you for shifting your own position (Tucker is Emmit Smith) AFTER it was just crushed by reality (we won running and pout up 40 and Tucker was mediaocre at best) maybe don't SHIFT YOUR POSITION AGAIN lol

And save the "White being below league average in ypc behind this line is pathetic" for the guys who said he'd keep Irving and Tucker where they belong.

Whites YPC is not the only reason he plays over Tucker lol

52.5% success rate.

What about his "involved" rate? Can you update us on that because THAT is the key to Bucs scoring, per JC!

Feel like any of the last games could get us. We've been more consistent lately but that doesn't mean we won't do the usual buc thing and f up one of the games. I just feel like Atlanta could be worse and think we should still get into the playoffs if we still mess up one of these games. None of them should be losses at this time of the season. It just would be something I'd expect to see normally lol.

Health is always a factor, and while it doesn’t appear that we’re getting worse - and yes good teams shouldn’t lose to lesser teams - we wouldn’t want to be Detroit right now (or again).

Agree that the 3 remaining should be winnable - but “any given Sunday” still happens on a given Sunday. We’ve had our turn at the wheel, let’s lean-in and keep it going. Dallas has potential to unwind us and we all know that NOLA & Carolina have some BIG scores to work out…

Liam has the offense where it needs to be, and his ability to adjust is next level.

hints of a deep game coming maybe . . .

no better time than right after running it down a team's throat AND Evans saying he feels like his old self

the last time this franchise won 5 regular season games in a row was back in 2016

we seem to top out at 4 under this new "perennial playoff" bucs run

here's hoping we can make it 5 on Sunday

It’s about being multiple and situational.

Yep.

We’re currently around a 56% pass to 44% run split on the season.

On the road, we’ve been 50/50.

And, our last 3 games, we’ve ran it 52% vs. 42% pass.

That’s good balance. Liam is doing a great job.

what did we do the other 6% of the time?

asking for a friend
