Logical reasoning seems to predict D.Smith returning as our left tackle. Does that take OT like Jonah Williams, Ford, or Taylor completely off the board for us?
Im not totally opposed to still have OT pretty high on the priority list even with D.Smith returning. Williams has played RT, he could even unseat D.Smith mid year or next year if it came to that. Ford seems like a possible hole filler anywhere along the Oline. Taylor could pencil in at RT with, from what ive seen, real good possibility at moving to LT later on under some proper coaching (he needs work on his hand engagement-hes a bit late with his hands).
Nothing bothers me more than having a subpar Oline. I dont think we have a choice but to bring back D.Smith, but I'm thinking that I would still approach this draft as if we have no quality tackles.
