Devin White's only game of the PS, and he comes in with a crowd-pleasing grade of 43.3 from PFF.
Funny, that some posters on here claimed he was worth "multiple 1st rounders" in a trade scenario.
Lolz...
Devin White will never understand coverage. It's a done deal. He's a niche player

Bowles should send White on A gap blitzes on most plays and let LVD clean up. That is the best way to use him at this point.
There were two top tier linebackers in the 2 top tier linebackers in the 2019 draft, Devin White and Devin Bush who was picked 10th overall. Bush signed a one year guaranteed contract for $3 mil. He trashed the Steelers and Mike Tomlin who let him go, and said how much better it was in Seattle. Now the Seahawks want to trade him, and the only reason they don't outright cut him is because they'd be on the hook for that $3 mil. There were those on this board who said we took the wrong Devin. I don't remember who, and I'm not going to try to go back into the archives. You know who you are. Of course Licht could have taken a different position and the jury is still out about whether White was a good pick. We'll know after this season. But as for choosing between the two Devins he made the right choice.

Or, he could’ve picked neither of them.
Which would’ve been the right choice.
and the jury is still out about whether White was a good pick.
No, the jury isn’t still out.
It wasn’t a good pick.
I can’t even see how this is debatable.
He's still starting on the Buccaneers, unlike Devin Bush or TJ Hockenson. Obviously it's a make or break year for White because he'll be a free agent. The jury is still out until the fat lady sings, which will be at the end of this year when they either let him walk or re-sign him. It doesn't matter how well he plays or doesn't play if isn't playing for the Bucs next year. The object of drafting someone in the first round is to have them earn a second contract.and the jury is still out about whether White was a good pick.

Again, no it’s not.
At no point, has he looked like a Top-5 pick.
I’m not sure why this is so hard for you.
And, yea, I realize I’m trying to explain it to someone who thought VH3 was worthy of a 1st round pick because he made ONE game saving tackle.
Well you obviously can see into the future, whereas I cannot. So I have to admit you have an advantage on me there. The jury is still out until the fat lady sings,

Surrender noted.
Again, what have you seen from him in the last 4 years that justifies him being a Top-5 pick?
Well you obviously can see into the future, whereas I cannot.
I think we all can agree with that, Mr. Essentially The Same Team.
It would have been nice to have Allen on this roster now IMO.
The best chance now to trade LB White would be if some very LB needy team made an offer the Buc's couldn't refuse. I don't foresee that happening. My crystal ball is still under repair.
I don't think the team trades White now. Just have to adjust and make sure he is going down hill because his spatial awareness going backwards is simply not there.
Because he hasn't been consistent, he hasn't justified being a top 5 pick. Even if he's played well at times, consistency is something you should expect from a top five pick. At this point, I wouldn't predict he's going to get that 2nd contract from the Bucs because of that inconsistency.Well you obviously can see into the future, whereas I cannot. So I have to admit you have an advantage on me there.

Either A) He plays well and earns the big payday. But that may not be the Bucs giving him that contract. If Wirfs plays well you pay him because you know he's been playing well all along. You can depend on him. Donovan Smith played well at times, not others. So you let somebody else pay him, and somebody else did. And somebody else will pay White what he wants. Or B) He doesn't play well this year and its a moot point. He'll be cut loose. Option C) He plays well and the Bucs resign him to a long term deal. There's still a small chance that White plays well and consistently and the White and the Bucs come together on a long term deal.
The final chapter hasn't been written, but its a longshot because he wants to get paid. There are 32 teams out there. Somebody will pay him more than the Bucs. Months ago soon after the season I said the Bucs needed to fish or cut bait with White, pay him or trade him. If you wait the price only goes higher. Now they will probably let him go on the free agent market and get nothing for him.
