According to this forum, Jameis lost us the game. So why did the Cowboys win against a better team? A team that trounced the undefeated Vikings, beat Big Ben and held the Steelers to 3 pts with the best receiver in the game and De'Angelo Williams a proven RB and former pro bowler in the backfield. Let's check the list for why people said Jameis cost us the win
Completion percentage - Dak was 19/39
Missed throws - Dak missed countless throws and potential TDs. He missed throws from a cleaner pocket, with a better oline, rushing attack, and more weapons but Winston should never miss a throw lol.
Now let's consider the facts. Dak had an horrendous completion percentage with the best offensive line in the game, better rushing production, and great field position numerous times. He missed several throws, more than a few Td throws, and had a couple ints that was directly in the hand of defenders. They faced the Eagles, a team that has been producing extremely well on offense against better competition than the Raiders. Yet they held them to 23. Yall told me Jameis cost the Bucs a game against the Raiders and Rams (leaving out the broncos). Why didn't the Cowboys lose? So they can beat the Eagles only scoring 23 in regulation but Jameis lost us the game by putting up 24 (should haven been 27) in regulation with no turnovers, no running game, and a worse team and weapons around him? It was Jameis fault the defense gave up 600 yards right? Why didn't the cowboys do that.
Less consider the Cowboys. They let Dak pass it 39 times in less while turning the ball over, missing throws, and Ezekiel Elliot in the backfield but Koetter couldn't let Jameis pass the ball in multiple situations. Do you know what the Cowboys came out doing in OT? They passed the ball backed up in their own territory with a rookie QB(who is older than Jameis btw) and was performing worse against the Eagles all while having a better rushing production and Oline. They chose to pass the damn ball on a defense that is astronomically better and that has forced more TOs in their own territory when they have the best running game in the league...But Jameis can't be trusted to throw the ball against the worst defense in the league with 4 minutes left in OT. On the last drive, we ran the ball twice deep in OT on the worse defense in our league with a rushing attack that was worse worse, with our 3rd string QB but because Winston missed one throw on a drive he's at fault. Like I said yall should be fans of other teams. The kid put up more points with significantly less offensive talent yet he's to blame.
Did the Cowboys lose confidence in Dak or did they let him go win it? Stop the excuses for Koetter. What other team blames their second year QB when he has no turnovers and put up 20 plus points on limited attempts. And he did it with how many fill ins? What team can't win when their second year QB puts up 24 points in regulation? What team can't win when their second year QB throws for 400+ yards and 3 tds because he had two turnovers? One of those ints was a tipped ball btw and it was against a Rams team that no one else has done that too. Eli threw for less than 200 yards, had no TDs and only led his team to 10 pts against the Rams btw(and that's with Odell, Cruz, and Shepard). Russell Wilson scored like 6 points against them.
No other team expects their second year QB to never turn the ball over and complete every pass. If he doesn't do those things and the team loses, it's his fault.
