Redskins' Goldson says facing Bucs 'just another game'Greg Auman, Times Staff WriterFriday, October 23, 2015 Dashon_Zps8Yuwj6Lf.jpgTAMPA — Former Bucs safety Dashon Goldson gets a chance to go up against his old team when the Bucs visit Sunday, but he said there's no ill will toward the team that traded him to Washington in April for a 2016 sixth-round pick."I'm approaching this game like a regular game," Goldson said Friday by phone. "It'll just be another football game for me. I'm not emotionally tied to it."Goldson said he has traded texts with former Bucs teammates this week about going to dinner, and he remains close with safeties Bradley McDougald and Major Wright, as well as linebacker Lavonte David."I'm excited about it. Not only will it be good to see those guys, but it's definitely a challenge for us. It looks like they're playing good," Goldson said.Goldson, 31, leads the Redskins with 42 tackles, putting him on pace for a career-high 112 for the season. He's still looking for his first interception with the Redskins -- he has just one in his last 33 games, after getting nine in his final 26 games with the 49ers before signing a $41-million contract with the Bucs.Goldson said this summer that he didn't like Lovie Smith's defense last season -- "I'm not a robot," he explained, saying that Redskins defensive coordinator Joe Barry "lets me play," with a more aggressive scheme."We do a lot of things here," Goldson said Friday. "We can be aggressive at times, and I like that. Tampa was good, fun. The first year, I liked it. A lot of other things going on didn't mesh well and it wasn't a fit for the both of us."
