Bucky. Nice pickup. I have my Ducks bias but he's great out of the backfield on passing downs. Shifty.

Will be a nice compliment to White.

A knock on him is his pass blocking.  That was one of the reasons Tucker didn't play.  If you are in there on passing downs you better be able to pass block even if you are on the smaller side.

I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to Bucky. Hoping he is as dynamic in the league as he was at the college level, because the NFL is not very forgiving of small backs.

There are exceptions, so I’m very interested to see if he can be one. As I’ve said before, I know he is not a soft-baked cookie.

I suspect that Coen may have given the go ahead for Irving given that he requires his RBs be able to pass block to make his scheme work.

Yeah, but he’s not good at it.

He’s actually worse than Tucker in that regard.

For whatever reason the Bucs feel that they can coach Irving up while Tucker has hit a bottleneck in his development. This is one of the interesting things to keep an eye on this off season.

@donkey_hunter he never did it. It's an unknown. Ducks almost never had our RBs blitz pickup.

His size isn't great for pass pro so I'm somewhat worried

Coen has a model for his RB, he felt Irving was a good fit for that - and like I said, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I realize that JaQuiz Rodgers & Duece Vaughn’s are obvious exceptions. Maybe I just don’t know what we got - but Liam Coen knows how he will fit better than anyone - I’m looking forward to being surprised!

I'm sure Coen was highly involved in the scouting of all the offensive players that were drafted.

Cam Akers is still a free agent so the Bucs may plan on bringing him in at some point.  But yeah right now it appears that Coen and his staff have assembled enough players to run his scheme for now.
