Bucs desperately needed a RB that can make people miss.Ā Not sure about the value being good where he was drafted, but he brings a dimension to the offense that was lacking.
I'm a Ducks fan and I have that bias... but he's really shifty, great hands, and a great kid.
He was hurt at the end of the year for us and it really limited us offensively. His pass catching was such needed dynamic.
He's not blazing fast but great change of pace.
I like the value despite RB not being a huge need.
Coen now has a plethora of skill players to make his motion offense work at its best.Ā Ā
Last two BucsĀ picks:Ā Dallin Holker TE / Curtis Jacobs LB or Mehki Wingo DL
Wingo would be good.
For end of round 6Ā Ā Bucs still have positions to get stronger at.Ā I realize they'll probably pick somebody I never heard of.Ā But Mahogany is still out there at guard.Ā Pratt is still available.Ā Still need defensive depth at LB, CB, DT.Ā Still could use competition at G and TE on offense.Ā Ā
Bucs have draftedĀ interior OL Elijah Klein in the sixth round.Ā A big boy that can run block.
Ā
some good DL (Leonard Taylor, Marcus Harris, Gabe Hall, Evan Anderson...) and CB (Dwight McGlothern, Jarius Monroe, Chigozie Anusiem, Carlton Johnson...) still available...
Bucs seventh round pick is TE Devin Culp.Ā A receiving TE that is a great fit for Coen's scheme that can attack zones quickly and compliment Otton.Ā I do not see Wells or Tauna beating out Culp. This is because Durham was able to pass up both of them last season.Ā And if Culp can show some blocking at the pro level than even Kieft isn't safe.Ā Durham is a question mark regarding his ceiling, but Durham is more of a red zone/short yardage target.Ā
TE from Washington looks like Marques Colston to me. Colston was a "tight end" when drafted. That's how he entered in the fantasy leagues anyway. I remember well because I picked him in a dynasty league draft in last round of the rookie draft. Really made my team very good...but Culp is almost a physical clone.
Ā
Edit: Oh, I'm saying he's gonna end up in the WR room.

I mean it is possible because Coen requires WR's be able to block and he runs a lot of 3 WR sets.Ā But Culp would be just as fine in a Higbee/Everett role by being able to motion out wide and attack a zone.Ā

Either way, I am interested in this pick. Iām curious about this one because we needed a move TE that can also contribute to run blocking.TE from Washington looks like Marques Colston to me. Yes Culp is intriguing and I think it signals the end of the Kieft experiment.Ā Ā
