The desperation of Team Mariota thus far has been downright hilarious. On this forum as well as on the comments sections of various Bucs blogs, I keep seeing this Russ Lande's opinion of Winston. They paste his opinion and act as if its not even a debate. You only hear crickets when you ask them what Russ Lande thinks about Mariota. You also hear crickets when you ask them if there are any other football people that critical of Winston while high on Mariota's on the field ability. Face it folks, outside of you casuals who get carried away by flashes from dual threat QBs, the consensus is clear. Winston is better than Mariota and the only way he isn't our pick is if he performs poorly in interviews or if some more character issues of him come to light. I think most of the Winston supporters are totally fine if our pick is Mariota, that would mean Winston has enough baggage to be considered a risk. Likewise, you guys need to prepare yourselves for Winston to be the pick since he is the better talent. I'd say your chances are not looking good since Lovie and Licht's seats are getting hot and only some solid play from a rookie QB (like that of Teddy B) would create enough optimism in fans and Glazers to look forward for another year under their watch. Out of empathy I'd suggest you to stop being in denial and be prepared for what is inevitable. Learn to like the player/person you are all passionately hating on as of now.
