Yes it does, but the Lions just ran out of steam. Modern NFL is about needing at least NFL average defense and a superb offense to win a Super Bowl.

How did our defense do in the second half of games?
albeit vs weaker competition late in the year(sans the chargers) they played pretty damn well. Had a ton of injuries this year.

I think you are both right. I think they managed games for the most part but they still were not a great team when things mattered most. Too many mistakes on both sides of the ball. Not enough game impacting big plays. We just managed. It's right we aren't in it. We have the talent in some places need to be more consistent there and add to it in fa and draft.
