Kris Richard has been let go by the Seahawks. He's been getting head coaching interviews so that may be the reason (Carroll said he wants Richard to experience something new). But if he doesn't take any HC jobs, he may be a nice fit. Although the Seahawks have a lot more talent on defense than we do, Richard has experienced a good amount of success:

2015: 2nd in total, 1st in PA, 6th in sacks
2016: 5th in total, 3rd in PA, 6th in sacks
2017: 11th in total, 13th in PA, 10th in sacks

Injuries to impact players might explain the drop off this year but that's up to Licht and crew to determine. I'm still holding out hope that we didn't make a move at DC because we didn't see a replacement we wanted. Hopefully our collective prayers have been answered.
