At the end of the day, a win is a win and yesterday was a big confidence booster for our team and especially our defense. Psychologically, the defensive stand in OT did more to boost this defense's confidence than anything else that could have been done. With that said, the Buc's secondary allowed an 82% completion percentage for Ryan. This is after allowing an 82.5% completion percentage to Kirk Cousins, and a 70% completion percentage to Blake Bortles. What has changed?? We limited Cam Newton to 50% and Mallet to 60%. The DB's didn't just forget how to play. If anything, we should have gotten better when we got Banks back a couple of weeks ago as he is clearly our strongest DB. Is it possible that after so many years, teams just know Lovie's system too well and know what to call against it? Is it that our lack of any type of QB pressure in the last 3 games has completely exploited our weak secondary?I don't know the answer, but I do know that we cannot continue to win games by giving up that high of a percentage of completions. Man, opposing QB's must be licking their fingers when they see us on the schedule. And now Eli Manning is coming to town with ODJ. That's a little scary.
