A couple posters PM'ed me asking what happened to our post on this topic. I don't have an answer for that, but here is the topic.

Any thoughts on the shortage of high quality O-line players coming out of college these days? It used to be easy pickings, just snag a couple Wisconsin behemoths and you could plug them right into your line.
There are a few theory’s out there, one is Moms don’t want their boys getting their brains scrambled every play. All those hits add up to CTE.
Another theory is the rise of the spread offense in college ball has led to O-line guys not being prepared for the traditional O-line play of the NFL.
And there is the theory NFL teams cutting back on practice time to abide to new CBA guidelines has led to poor O-line play.
So, it could be one of those reasons or maybe all 3, who knows. The overall game has suffered though. I believe scoring was down this season. And a lot of people blame that on deteriorating O-line play.
