Goedeke shut down Hutchinson last year. He's a really good RT. Think this injury will hurt more than people realize.
I’m interested to see how Coen handles this. Hutch may have a game like Watt did last week vs. Atlanta.
Good teams will have a standard for the backups, its easy to accept this as an L but we have to be mentally ready to win. If we already come in making excuses for ourselves, we're gonna sell ourself short and have no chance of winning. The media and fans read this and it permeates into the team no doubt in my mind. The moment I think of is zach strief vs simeon rice NO vs TB making his first start 3rd string undrafted LT shutdowns simeon rice in a crucial division game about 10+ years ago
my bad 7th round pick pick 210, I think we find out who justin skule is today

This is Skule’s sixth season and second team in the NFL, we know who he is. He’s a backup offensive lineman, and he’s gonna need help with Hutch. Hopefully he’s ready to play the game of his life.
Can I say Skule's getting schooled?my bad 7th round pick pick 210, I think we find out who justin skule is today

Just a ho-hum 4.5 sack day.
Hell, there were times Otton held up better vs. Hutch than Skule did.
Goedeke needs to return ASAP.
We need a real backup tackle, maybe haggard, he did well in preseason at guard but was a convertedd LT from college
no more ridiculous that fans being disappointed if the Bucs lose on the road tomorrow with half their defense out, down a man on offensive line
agreed
Glad we didn't have to test it out though.
Bowles was supposed to be fired . .. twice . . .today he's got to get some credit, I would think. HIS team playing strong with some stars out and YOUNG guys showing up. McCollum is rocket quick closing on the ball. Dennis made a few plays. Smith a few plays. etc
Great win, especially against that team on the road.
Now, to win the one they should!
Well, Justin Schooled was horrible, but none of the other backups had name called and the Lions could only score 16 points. So obviously with a real victory and not just a moral one the Bucs are a team to be taken seriously this year. They finally got a win against a contending team, something they couldn't do all last regular season. And Bowles proved who the better coach was putting a stop to that high powered offense, while the Detroit HC cost them 3 points at the end of the half which would have come in mighty handy for them at the end of the game.
For the most part the depth looked on point and it shows the team has grown being able to have depth that can fill gaps when needed.

This has been a problem since the Rams playoff loss in 2021 post season. Not sure what the team can do.
The backups did an excellent job of "next man up". I was very much impressed with they way they took on the Offense of Detroit and also the way it look so easy. (I know it wasn't). They came out with a plan and stayed with it. I was impressed with the way the defense came through after Vita was taken out of the game. We really held our own like most good teams will do. In essence we didn't panic.
If anything it gives a great testimony for Jason Licht and the Coaching staff preparing keeping the team whole and ready to have their number called. Love the intensity. I am liking the OC but would really like to see more opened holes but Hutchinson is no joke and reminded me of Watts for Pittsburg. (So don't bust on Skule too bad).
