http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/06/desean-jackson-begins-lobbying-for-new-deal/ According to PFT Jackson is pushing for a pay raise. I know it's very conspiracy theorist however totally conceivable that perhaps this posturing is his way to try and get out of Philly. With Tedford, who was his college coach, now in Tampa I could see a possible desire for a reunion....Ahhhh perhaps I'm just dreaming as a lineup of Jackson, Williams and Jackson would be frightening.
This isn't the first time he's complained about his contract.
so a #1 asking for more money will be brought in here where we already have guys paid like a #1 and #2. In what world does this work?

Strikingly similar to Revis last year...but I agree it wont happen.
I'd rather get a slot/return guy from the draft and pay them peanuts for the next 3 years.

How similar to Revis? We had no corners under contract when we signed Revis.
I don't want Jackson at all. Dude is one of the biggest crybabies in the game.
I like his game but do t like the pricetag be will likely be after.

Exactly
Trade vjax for djax
Does he deserve a raise? Probably. But just because you deserve a raise doesnt mean you are going to get one. He signed a contract. He expects a team to adhere to the terms of the contract. He should honor those terms.
