Schiano keeps losing , and has alternatives to losing that he won't use, but we should admire his convicted nature. Okay lol
Schiano is like a cavemen of the nfl. Takes him a long long long long time to see anything that's working and stick with it. and when it does work he's scared of it so he might use it here and there but in essence stick to the samething.Just a bad hire. Straight up how ppl can argue for a 4-12 coach is beyond me.
He refuses to adjust. Really hope he gets canned at the end of the season.
It is a peek into the mind frame of a very stubborn person. One that would rather get fired than do what is right, what works.
Or one that is convicted in his belief. Dungy had a similar trait.Without Dungy's success though, he'll get fired.
Let's not confuse convictions with stupidity. Plus, Dungy won!
LOL .. . note the part is boldI am not defending the guy, just pointing out that it could be something other than "stupidity" For example, he was apparently convicted in his belief that Freeman was not the future. Seems he was right there. He was apparently convicted in his belief that even with Freeman we needed Glennon, Seems he was right there too. Conviction in one's beliefs comes with both good and bad. It is the reason Dungy succeeded . . . and failed.
That's the quote that broke the camels back for me. A shame I do like is talent evaluation and development. But adapting, adjusting and evolving are needed.
I feel the same way CS. I've never called for Schiano to be fired, in fact I've usually defended him. Just can't do it anymore. Had a slow day and looked into some all 22 reviews of other QBs and its freakin unreal the difference between the shit we try to run on offense and other teams. On both sides of the ball! Saying we don't have the talent to run a straight up four man rush is just the dumbest thing i've heard. So by his own admission we can't run his style of defense until we have above average players across the board?I just can't do it anymore, get rid of this clown, i've seen enough to know he is who he is and he isn't going to magically change become a great adapter. Send him packing, i'm sick of constantly being outcoached and in general making things look so incredible hard. We'll make NFL history this year as the by having the best turnover margin and still being a losing team. That's never been done before and it's because you are good in the turnover battle you really have to play poorly everywhere else to have a losing record, hell that's double as we'll likely end up 4-12. Astonishing...

Wow, is this true? We'll be the first team to lead in TO margin but have a losing record? If so, this is a huge indictment of the staff.
Seattle and KC both have a better turnover margin than we do, but it still speaks volume that we have a +11 turnover margin and only have a 4-10 record to show for it
GTFOH and go back to Rutgers you stubborn coach. This is brutal.
New Jersey doesn't want him back. Send him to Siberia or something. Just get him away from my football team.
Id love to get worked up. But, what's the point? If the team doesn't care enough about the product that they keep this guy in charge, what's in it for us to care anymore?

It is, I believe they mentioned it in the pregame on Sunday. Not only would we have a losing record but we're far below a 7-9 record.

I don't think the owner's really cared as they got (mostly) sellouts due to the attractive schedule this season ...I'm hoping they realize that will probably not happen next year if they return this same staff.

I hear ya, Curt. But I will go one further. Firing Schiano quickly is key this offseason. Dragging your feet a month and then firing him would only make the next coach's job that much more difficult. You fire Dom and Schiano in two weeks, get your new gm quickly and then get your HC and coordinators before the top two or three choices are gone.
We may not end up leading the league in turnover margin but if you rank us, we by far are underperforming when looking at the teams around us.

Should have pulled the trigger mid-season so they'd have a head start
