That's the quote that broke the camels back for me. A shame I do like is talent evaluation and development. But adapting, adjusting and evolving are needed.
I feel the same way CS. I've never called for Schiano to be fired, in fact I've usually defended him. Just can't do it anymore. Had a slow day and looked into some all 22 reviews of other QBs and its freakin unreal the difference between the **CENSORED** we try to run on offense and other teams. On both sides of the ball! Saying we don't have the talent to run a straight up four man rush is just the dumbest thing i've heard. So by his own admission we can't run his style of defense until we have above average players across the board?I just can't do it anymore, get rid of this clown, i've seen enough to know he is who he is and he isn't going to magically change become a great adapter. Send him packing, i'm sick of constantly being outcoached and in general making things look so incredible hard. We'll make NFL history this year as the by having the best turnover margin and still being a losing team. That's never been done before and it's because you are good in the turnover battle you really have to play poorly everywhere else to have a losing record, hell that's double as we'll likely end up 4-12. Astonishing...
Wow, is this true? We'll be the first team to lead in TO margin but have a losing record? If so, this is a huge indictment of the staff.
It is, I believe they mentioned it in the pregame on Sunday. Not only would we have a losing record but we're far below a 7-9 record.
I agree with both of you that those facts are a stinging indictment
It is a peek into the mind frame of a very stubborn person. One that would rather get fired than do what is right, what works.
Or one that is convicted in his belief. Dungy had a similar trait.Without Dungy's success though, he'll get fired.
Let's not confuse convictions with stupidity. Plus, Dungy won!
LOL .. . note the part is boldI am not defending the guy, just pointing out that it could be something other than "stupidity" For example, he was apparently convicted in his belief that Freeman was not the future. Seems he was right there. He was apparently convicted in his belief that even with Freeman we needed Glennon, Seems he was right there too. Conviction in one's beliefs comes with both good and bad. It is the reason Dungy succeeded . . . and failed.
I get what you're saying. The "stupidity" part was directed at Schiano, not you. I was on the go and using my phone, which many times amounts to crappy posts. What I meant is that Schiano isn't being convicted to anything special in this case as much as he is just being stupid. His belief has us losing and him on the verge of being fired. Ten drives, 11 yards, true to his "convictions". What you call convictions I call a sub-par philosophy operated by a dreamer, not a coach. He's new to the NFL, you'd think he would have open ears and eyes to finding a competitive edge. Not this guy. -And boy, has he had his chance to do so. The NFL is rapidly changing, the need to be fluent and flexible as a decision maker was and is timeless. It is most of the game. Nothing unclear about this for me. I hope he is released asap. Schiano seems to be a very decent man. At no time is it my wish to say anything otherwise. As a HC here, he is not above criticism. As of today, I'm done with Schiano. Here's to hoping that the next coach believes in playing to his team's strengths, and has the mental and interpersonal ability to be flexible, especially on game day!!

Great post
I've been done with that clown since the jets game.I feel really bad for anyone who really believed in him. Another couple of years of wasted time for us all.
The immediate answer to the question was a bit strange. Why not run more no huddle Coach?Because I didn't want to. Its an odd answer, and I hate to even think it, but he talks like a coach that has been assured he will be back next season no matter what.
Just watched it and what a joke, again? His analogies are really old, like the kid that's driving the car and looking over his shoulder. He is really holding Glennon back and I think Glennon is tired of it. He also makes sure he takes credit for Gerald McCoy's good year. He will hold on to that one.Get him out of here already...He's mechanical, the team is mechanical, and if you are mechanical, you get beat in this league period! This guy is taking us nowhere but to the basement next year!
