This is a purely speculative thread, but the guy seems to be losing his poise a little bit. I am going to pull a couple of particular examples out of the past couple of press conferences. Yesterday's conference he stood there for about 5 seconds, nobody asked a question, he left. The conference before that, he was destroying Ira, and it wasn't playful, he was pissed off. Prior to that we have seen him be really reactive with his gameplans, such as last years Carolina game (where he handed it off to Rodgers 30 times) after being criticized by the media. He seems thin skinned especially when it comes to criticism from the media.
Media outlets such as Joebucsfan have been going out of their way to stick up for Koetter and give him the benefit of doubt in returning next year. I am currently in the keep Koetter camp, but every day that goes by I'm fading a little. I firmly believe this Gruden situation is getting to him. I think that the ring of honor game and the production interviews could be very uncomfortable. Lee Dekemper even suggested Koetter may resign due to the area's infatuation with Gruden (no chance he resigns, that's just dumb).
So, as of now, is Dirk Koetter toast at the end of the year if Jon legitimately wants to coach the bucs? No matter what? I know the Glazers don't come out and support coaches or whatever, but I'm getting the feeling they haven't exactly told him he is safe in the midst of this Gruden talk. Do you let Dirk have another year baring some 3-13 or 4-12 campaign, or would you rather just turn Jameis over to Gruden and staff at the end of the year in hopes he can take him to the next level?
