For the people who really want Bosa on the team AND think he will instantly solve our pass rush issues...Have you really studied the kid?Bosa is not a pass rushing DE. Make no mistake, he is a run stuffer with SOME pass rush skill.Bosa's greatness lyes in his IQ and technique. He is very strong through the upper body so he is able to bull rush pretty well and at times he can show bursts of speed, but he's the type of player that can not convert speed to power or power to speed. His get off is very mediocre. He only has one move on any given play, if that move fails he is down and out (sorta like a QB who locks onto his target and never tries option 2 or 3).Granted, he is night and day way better than Gholston. He is even better in run support and after a couple of years will give you 8-10 sacks where Gholston is more of a 5-6 sack guy.If you really watch the tape you see that Bosa was almost always lined up at LE, meaning he's taking the weaker college-level RT and would have decent plays here and there. But when he went up against solid tackles like Jack Conklin he was mostly ineffective. If you really like Joey Bosa, go after Carl Nassib in round three instead. Bosa is a bonafide stud #2 DE, but we need a #1. Nassib is more likely to be that guy.If you want a true 'pass rusher' at #9 the best options are Spence, Floyd, Rankins, or Lawson.
