I don't get it... These guys made it all the way to the pros but still can't stop themselves from holding, leg whipping, hands to the face, jumping early, illegal contact? The rate at which this team earns penalties is absolutely astounding. Speaking from experience as a coach at both middle and high school levels, I can tell you the way this team is penalized screams that practice time is not spent correcting mistakes. Rather, letting them go or not looking for them at all because you are completely focused on just execution of plays... which is entirely within the realm of possibility given our ineptitude throughout the last few seasons and the amount of attention that was probably shifted just toward learning how to run our trash plays effectively. However you spin it, the penalties are unacceptable and I just wish the tv cameras would once catch a coach getting in the players faces about these penalties. It's about being disciplined, and committing penalties is a choice based on how disciplined a player you are... Right now our coaches are not instilling discipline and our players are not being smart with technique. It's laziness on both ends.
