Yes. No more Dum
Dominik has made his fair share of mistakes since taking over from Bruce Allen, but he certainly has done a better job acquiring talent. He's been innovative with the contracts, designing them well enough to attract great talent, yet still not put the Bucs back in cap hell like Rich McKay. He knows the whole organization better than anyone, and he is respected around the league. This franchise needs the stability and experience he provides. It would take a new GM years to reach that point. IMO, it would be a huge mistake to fire him. There is certainly a better foundation for success than the one he took over.
I would bet $1000 right now that he would NOT get hired if/when he gets fired after this season as a GM for another NFL team.
You would lose that bet. Rich McKay and Bruce Allen were never in the unemployment line. Dominik is an upgrade over McKay on contracts, and an upgrade over Allen on talent evaluation. Dominik wouldn't miss a minute he didn't want to, and the Bucs would be worse off in the long run.
I would not. Knowing the franchise and foundations are not the measuring stick of success. Wow. Listen to yourself. It is terrible.
As long as they're an experienced offensive minded staff.Very tired of the boring to pathetic one we've had for years.
Dominik has to be fired. This his third season of 10+ losses in five years. Inexcusable. He's used so many draft picks on defensive linemen and McCoy is the only one that's good. The obvious choice at that.He sucks at identifying talent. Taking Price, Benn, and Myron Lewis over Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, Lamarr Houston, etc. The 2011 draft was a perfect example of why he sucks. He took Clayborn and Bowers instead of Cam Jordan and Justin Houston. Jordan and Houston have more sacks individually than Clayborn and Bowers do combined. He also could have traded up for Robert Quinn or Ryan Kerrigan but passing on Jordan and Houston is idiotic when Clayborn just had a mediocre senior year. There was a reason Bowers fell so far and everybody else passed on him but the Bucs were the team dumb enough to take him. The 2009-2011 drafts are huge reason why the Bucs have sucked and continue to suck. The Bucs have averaged over 10 losses per year during Dominik's tenure. After five years, we've seen enough.
