I think we can agree that there is no Aaron Rodgers or Andrew Luck in this current draft. There are some significant question marks about both of the consensus top two QB's. In addition, some QB-starved teams will likely be making a big push to move up and hopefully nab one of those two, because even though they're on a tier probably somewhere between Luck and RGIII, there are a few teams that are desperate to have either one of them. Now, please do me a favor and put aside your own personal yearning for a shiny new "franchise" QB and consider this: the Buccaneers haven't had the #1 overall pick in 27 years. With the draft lean on high-rounders at QB, wouldn't this be an excellent time for them to trade down and amass a lot of picks and maybe a player to set up this franchise for the coming years? For instance, couldn't the Bucs trade down and still get a guy like Jim McElwain-coached CSU's senior QB Garrett Grayson who also has a lot of upside as a potential starter in this league ( link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fwhKKXII_g )?Grayson is projected as most likely a second ior third round pick. Could the Bucs drop down in round one, scoop up a bunch of picks, and draft Grayson in round two? The more I watch, listen to, and read about this kid the more I like. http://draftseason.com/garrett-grayson-interview-quarterback-colorado-st/ http://www.predictionmachine.com/nfl-draft-2015-college-prospects-week-14 "[Grayson is] very athletic and can run as well as throw on the run but not to worry, the kid is definitely a pocket passer. At 6’3?, 220 pounds, Grayson has good size and he’s a tough kid both mentally and physically so he won’t fade on you. He also has good intangibles as a leader whose team will follow him and he will deliver for you in the clutch. That really showed during his comeback, upset win over Power-5 conference’s Boston College Eagles. As far as production goes, Grayson has thrown for 3,779 yards, 32 touchdowns, 6 interceptions and a completion percentage of 65 percent with one game left. Last year, he threw for 3,700 yards, 23 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and had a completion percentage of 63 percent so you can see the consistency and steady improvement."It seems that many analysts who have studied Grayson are saying that he has a lot to offer and a lot to build on. I think that if given a chance to be a starter in this league, after a few growing pains, Grayson will end up being one of the most efficient and productive QB's in the league in coming seasons.
