I've been away so really didnt get a chance to comment on this. But I will just say that Lovie being fired is something I'm not sure was the best move. Part of it is because it gives the impression the Glazers panicked yet again. Does no one remember this very similar situation back in 2008. I was just talking with someone last week about this potential scenario. The Glazers will be scared of losing Koetter and will fire Lovie. It's just like firing Gruden and promoting Raheem because the Glazers were afraid of losing Raheem.This week at least seems like the same exact mistake might be being made. Dirk Koetter is getting interviews, the Glazers didn't want to lose him, so they fired Lovie and plan to promote Koetter. Your reason for firing a head coach is so that you don't lose an assistant? If that's the way the Glazers run this franchise, we are worse than the Browns. That's completely stupid to do that.This is an incredible risk. Koetter has never been a head coach in the NFL. How many times have we seen awesome coordinators completely bomb as a head coach? And panicked moves almost never work. I'm not quite sure why everyone is so worried about Koetter leaving anyway. Assistant coaches moving on to greener pastures is nothing new. It happens all the time in this league. You almost never find a damn good coordinator that will stay loyal to you and refuse opportunities to be a head coach. That luxury simply does not exist in today's NFL.So if the Glazers fired Lovie mainly because of the fear of losing Koetter, then I think they made a very big gamble that really offers far more risk than reward. Now we would need a new DC that will install a completely different system. That's easier said than done...just ask a Saints fan. Simply hiring good DC's doesn't automatically fix your defense.And Pat Kirwan is right....we are very quickly becoming the Browns of the south. 5 head coaches in 8 years? There is not been any continuity with this team in almost a decade. We now have players on this roster that go back 3 regimes. This is getting ridiculous. And now what? We go 2 weeks of sham interviews so the Glazers don't look stupid?
