I’ve watched him for awhile now, every Saturday in fact. I think there’s also a little of Mike’s game in him too. This is a sneaky good pick.He was consensus 33 but you can see why the Bucs would be high on him. Captain, Godwin clone, ready immediately
Also fits Bucs “that guy” character guy role.
Smart to put him with Mike & Chris - phenomenal.
5 picks later and our "guys" at LB and end aren't gone
As I said, I did NOT see this coming at all. I was stunned.I’m clearly biased, but this kid is ready to start, right now.WOW! Did NOT see this coming!?
I freaking LOVE Egbuka - he’s so smooth - bigger Godwin clone. Team first guy..
but with Green, Ez & Pearce still on the board…somebody is going to have a merry Draftmis.
Yeah, I like Egbuka. But this was a reach. Chris Godwin was a third rounder. I would have loved Egbuka in R3, but this is too early for him.
I don’t really disagree. But, even with your bias, did you have him as a top 20 prospect?
But during the NC run - I couldn’t believe how close his game was to Chris. He fits the character model, and you pair him with the two best tandems in the NFL - he will be a dominant player.
but I understand those who wanted what Inwas looking for - a burner to take the top off of the defense.
Truly though, the more I think about it, the smarter this pick is.
Now, another member of my family is stunned for another reason, he’s a Bengal fan…
Going wr makes a ton of sense. Think long term
I know it takes two teams to make a trade, but I hope Licht tried. He would still be sitting there right now at 27.
4 RCVR sets?
5 picks later and our "guys" at LB and end aren't gone
Lots of offensive players going in round 1 causing defensive players to slide a bit. Round 2 and round 3 looks like the money rounds for defense.
I get the disappointment at this level -And Philly is going to have Green or EZ fall right in their laps and whoop our a**.
Green was NEVER on their board. Ever. Told you that numerous times.
Passing on EZ is a huge disappointment though.
as info began to come out on Green, never thought there was a chance that Green was ever even a consideration at OBP.
First round is finished and the Bucs will have their pick of defensive players in round 2. The teams that pick before the Bucs probably start a run on WRs, RBs, OL and some defensive players.
Feels like ILB/S could be our focus starting tomorrow night.First round is finished and the Bucs will have their pick of defensive players in round 2. The teams that pick before the Bucs probably start a run on WRs, RBs, OL and some defensive players.
But… a few names that are still on the board for round 2:
Will Johnson
Donovan Ezeirauku
Mike Green (no chance he’s a Buc)
Nick Emmanwori
Carson Schwesinger
What's the pick say about McMillan?
Think, stacking layers of talent at key positions, and future. Mike & Chris to Emeka & JMac.4 RCVR sets?
Bucs can rotate these two in behind Mike & Chris, with very little drop off once they’re a few games in.
And we’re only getting into where the defensive value is in this draft…
…so bright, we’ll need shades…
It certainly doesn’t diminish him. What's the pick say about McMillan?
Mike was a 1st rounder, Chris was a 3rd…
Still would like a burner… but I’m greedy like that.
WT, was t his career at OSU very similar (statistically) to Marvin Harrison Jr? I thought so.
MHJ put up 8 TDs this year in the NFL. Probably on 800 yds.
I know they are different, but MHJ was also a top 5 pick. We are getting similar college production but at #19?
