We have a tremendous gift at first pic, and OBP will not be doing their job unless they look at EVERY scenario. I think we can ALL agree on that.I cannot help but think about Jerry Jones in the last few years, and although he did not tell cowboy fans that he was building for the future by way of stacking the OL and DL...its exactly what he did.There's nothing "sexy" about building an OL and a DL. We all know that. And in todays American Idol mentality where everyone is looking for a "star", that just may come back to haunt us....or should I say....continue to haunt us. The fact is, neither of these two quarterbacks are coming out of the gate with the same zeal that Payton Manning did. I'm sure we can all agree on that. Not many people think of Mariota or Winston are the second coming.Would it not be wise to wait for amazing deals to be offered for this wonderful situation we find ourselves in...and opt for the "non sexy" trade-downs to build a formidable OL once and for all, to protect a future QB of our choice? I hereby stipulate that we are not in any sort of a "win now" mode.....so why not use this very rare opportunity to STUFF OUR OL with premiere blockers (and/or rushers) rather than jump on either one of these guys and perhaps blow yet another pick?I don't want to build our OL via FA. FA is the cherry on the top......not building blocks. I get that we're gun shy about visiting this topic again...we've have VERY bad luck building an OL these last ten years...but I get the feeling there will be a boat load of people offering us the keys to the Kingdom for this pick....and I think this year we should take all we can....You build a foundation before you build the house.........and our foundation is crumbling.
