The most efficient and productive team in the Red Zone in 2017 was even more startlingly good in the Red Zone than at first glance. They played a LOT of very good defenses last year, put up numbers on them that should negatively impact their gross year stats, but those defenses remained excellent despite the crooked numbers the Eagles put on them. That tells you how well those teams performed against the rest of the league.
You're talking about:
San Diego Chargers
Denver Broncos
Los Angeles Rams
Chicago Bears
Arizona Cardinals
Seattle Seahawks (fading, but still quite solid)
Carolina Panthers
Dallas Cowboys * 2 (they were solid on D last year)
These teams all placed well in a few or more of Y/P, Total Yards, Points (which can be heavily influenced by non-defense factors - see Denver's offense), Passer Rating, Red Zone.
I'm going to take a look at the Red Zone Tight offense specifically against the Chargers and Bears and see what make for good Red Zone Tight offense.
