Another thing to keep in mind is that rookies seem to take a while to figure Bowles defense out. Bowles may try to trade for Crosby or other vets so he doesn’t have to rely on a rookie ( Like a Sonny Styles) to be productive in year 1.
this is a good point and part of why the move to keep Bowles is sort of a departure from their stated plan. Bowles wants to win in 2026 and in his defense especially that should mean vets over rookies. The Bucs have been a drafting team not an FA team.
Gruden and Allen wanted to go all in with vets to undo the wrongs of the 2008 collapse but where shown their walking papers. This team is still going to build through the draft but the only modification you see is Licth go out and sign more fresh faces.
