Mayfield biggest improvement has been being more consistent. He's been consistently inconsistent his entire career. But through six games, he's only had one clunker. If he can keep that ratio up, the team should fare pretty well.
Spot on.
I can understand this. I’d argue that the inconsistent tag could have been exacerbated by the injury, poor coaching & poor surrounding talent through a 2 season stretch.Mayfield biggest improvement has been being more consistent. He’s shown us all something. He has rewarded those who thought he was just what this team needed, he has won over those who were more skeptical.
Tonight and through the next few games will prove that. We have surrounded him with better talent than he’s ever had, on both sides of the ball - great coaching and a scheme that maximizes his skill set - not to mention that surrounding talent.
Looks like we’re all starting to sense we have something working here. Can’t wait to see it play out.
As @TraskForce (as well as DH & Biggsy) has noted, this game is a test run - next week is the most important game. If we can lose while being competitive, well it was a great way to collect intel… we MUST beat Atlanta next week.
I can’t see how we won’t be beat up after this one, especially the d-line & secondary …
Coen has been light years better than Canales.
While there's A TON of similarities in the passing concepts and philosophies, he's simply adjusted on the fly far better. Same thing with the run game. The last few games, we're seeing more gap/duo vs. zone and he's calling it to the stronger part of the line.
All of this, along with some really creative designs, has put Baker in a position to succeed. He's clearly comfortable and the results are showing.
And, as Biggs said, he's finally showing consistency.
At this juncture, he's playing at an MVP level (along with a few others).
Lets just stop throwing INTS win the game and not worry about the MVP race.
Stop forcing the ball!

Whoops. Lolz.
Everytime yall do this shit with our players they come down to reality. SMH
Bucs will be 5-5 at best. They can’t match up to chiefs ravens or a healthy 49ers

I don’t think that’s a MVP ratio…Mayfield biggest improvement has been being more consistent. He's been consistently inconsistent his entire career. But through six games, he's only had one clunker. If he can keep that ratio up, the team should fare pretty well.
